Magnum have already started work on a new album which will be finished during the autumn/winter for release next spring with a major tour to promote it.

Mark Stanway also started working on a new project in between Magnum with a band called Wheels of Fire. This band is the brainchild of a good friend and great guitarist called Phil Bates who currently works with The Electric Light Orchestra (ELO 11) The drummer is Clive Bunker (ex Jethro Tull and Jack Bruce Band amongst many others) the bass player is actually one of my favourite bass players and close friend called Brian Badhams who currently plays with Elkie Brookes, Brian has played with so many people over the years and Mark Stanway was in a band with him called Rainmaker for 3 years before Mark Stanway joined Magnum in 1980. Wheels of Fire will be playing songs from the guitar greats….Clapton, Green, Hendrix and many more which is quite a challenge for me being a keyboard player where much of this music did not have keyboards on their original recordings.

There are no plans to do any more work with the Classic Whitesnake situation which is a shame but there are politics involved.

With ROBERT PLANT, The Honeydrippers

With regard to The Honeydrippers….Mark Stanway hopes one day he can play again with Robert Plant it was a real privilege and a pleasure to have worked with him. They remain close friends so who knows what the future will hold?

Mark has also worked and recorded recently with the amazingly talented drummer Jimmy Copley famed for his work with Upp, Jeff Beck, Go West, Char, Tears for Fears, the Paul Rogers Band and most recently Manfed Mann's Earth Band, for his brilliant first solo album entitled 'Slap my Hand'. For full details go Mark will be working with Jimmy again later in the year for a BBC recording for the Paul Jones Show which will feature, Jimmy Copley on drums, Micky Moody (Ex Whitesnake) on guitar, Mick Edwards (Manfed Mann) guitar, Peter Cox (Go West) on Vocals, Ian Jennings (The Big Town Playboys and Jeff Beck) Bass and Mo Birch (UB40, Culture Club and Go West) vocals.

Mark also works regularly with his son 'Ross' aka 10shott, the highly acclaimed hip-hop artist (checkout his website) he will be massive......
